Scandinavian Literature in Translation || Littérature scandinave en traduction

About

From my base in Montreal — where English meets French — I track publisher announcements of forthcoming releases in Scandinavian literature in either English or French translation. These posts are not reviews, but rather the prepublication data provided by publishers.

To keep things from getting out of hand, this site deals exclusively with Scandinavian translations either published in Canada (of which there are very few), or imported into the Canadian market from the UK, the USA and France (of which there are a great many).

For the purposes of this website, Scandinavian = {Icelandic, Norwegian, Danish, Swedish}.

I launched this site with a complete listing of the nearly 150 Scandinavian translations that reached the Canadian market in 2008 and, going forward, si la tendance se maintient, you can expect an average of a dozen or so titles to be added every month.

My personal library of Scandinavian literature is available for viewing on LibraryThing. I also maintain a bilingual Icelandic sagas bibliography.
